2014 year in review

What a year it has been... as 2014 draws to a close, I can't help but reflect on God's goodness and this emily co journey.

I started this thing without a clue: about business, about marketing, about how to grow, about anything. What I did know was that the dream was in my heart and that I had a passion for picking. And I knew that I wouldn't go homeless thanks to the support from mom and dad (seriously thankful.. and it wasn't just saving me from homelessness, but picking trips and muscle-work and painting).

I have met so many wonderful people, been able to partner with amazing businesswomen, and taken this dream from nothing to something. It has morphed in ways I would have never expected, but yet would never change.

I'm ending this year with a renewed sense of purpose, a hobby that is a business (and vice versa), and incredible excitement about what is to come: a new Chairish shop, firing back up the Etsy shop (back when I thought I'd be emily AND co, oops), doing more of what works and less of what doesn't. Thank you for sticking with me along the way.

Here are some of my favorite pieces from the last year.

Loved the lines of these vintage chairs. Curvy backs are so chic!

Pagoda mirror... I should have MADE room in my house for this one!!! But I can't keep everything I find. That's called hoarding and it's a serious disorder, so I'm happy that this guy found a forever home.

Mr. Ed. I loved him from the day I got him... and then we spent a few weeks together while I doctored up his ear and glossed him up. I'm happy he sold, but definitely sad to see him go (again with the hoarding).
