Where did summer go? And a quick refresh.

It's been three months... wait, I just was overcome by shock. Three months? May to June, June to July, July to August. Three. Dang.

So it's been three months since my last post and I have no excuses. Except for I have plenty of excuses. I've completed three new schools and my computer died. Now that schools are finished and I have a new mac (!!!!!!!!), my goal is to get back on top of emily co. That includes this here blog.

In the middle of the madness, I have found myself feeling stuck. Getting unstuck usually means a change in hair-do or painting something (and not selling it). The last time I changed my hair on my own, I ended up looking like Courtney Love. More on that later. Since I have gobs of extra paint, painting won.

My front door has been black for a few years and I love it. My back door has always been white.

I mean... it's a little beat up. Right?

I mean... it's a little beat up. Right?

Some go to the gym after work, others pour a glass of wine and paint. And painting the door was WAY faster than a workout.

Fresh paint always highlights the rough spots... so don't look too closely to the white trim. And also please graciously overlook that I hadn't yet gone through with a razor to clean up the window panes... but WOW what a difference!!!

Now about that Courtney Love snafu. I had gotten my hair cut, and my hair girl asked if I wanted highlights. No thanks. But later that night I decided, yes, yes I want highlights right now. So I went to WalMart (Target was closed at this hour), and picked up a highlighting kit. One episode of Jersey Shore later (a - you're only supposed to leave it on for 20 minutes, b - it was that long ago) and my highlights ended up bleaching my whole head. Frizzy blonde hair. YIKES. It took a year to get myself back to good...
