Market Report

Hi friends! I ventured out to Market on Sunday. The goal wasn't to buy stuff (but I did), or to see people (but I did). I just wanted to see what's new.

Your chinoiserie and rattan and bamboo favorites are going nowhere, so that's good. Your natural materials are still going strong. Industrial touches started to show up a little bit more than I'd previously seen. And BLUSH PINK was everywhere. EVERYWHERE!

It's velvet, y'all.

It's velvet, y'all.

When I moved in to my first house in 2004, I painted the walls a blush pink and I loved it. Thirteen years ahead of my time! I'm slow to warm up to trends sometimes, and this is one that... as much as I love pink... might take me a minute. I could absolutely commit to some blush pink when it's hiding in a grand piece of art, like this one that just walked in the shop from local fave Jennifer Pino.
