Merciful heavens. It is the day after and I'm pooped. I need to get up and get ready and trot off to an auction - no rest for the weary - but I'm enjoying the sofa for a few more minutes while I tell you about yesterday.
If you went, then YOU KNOW. Enjoy the pictures. If you didn't go, then you need to make sure you're on the next bus. This time was great fun, but I have a sneaking suspicion that next time will be x10. Can you imagine?
I kept the destination a secret. If I told, a) people like me would google and "investigate", b) people might have preconceived ideas (also like me), and c) surprises are fun. Once we got on the bus and left the parking lot, I announced we would be going to FAYETTEVILLE.
Stop #1: Check out our handsome hosts.
These are the owners of Back N The Day. They have everything... it was a pretty day, so a lot of their wares were outside.
After we picked through everything and loaded back on the bus, they came out to thank us for shopping and gave us little grab bags. GET OUT!!!! That was the sweetest part of the day.
They know how to make a bunch of girls feel special. You will also notice that they buy as well as sell. Consider reaching out to them if you have some items to unload!
Off to the next stop...
A shout out to Tobacco Road Tours for setting us up with the bus and driver, Jimmy. Jimmy was the biggest help in loading all of our treasures... and safely carting us around all day!
We stopped for lunch at The Fried Turkey (holy moly.. delicious sandwiches and again, above and beyond service). And then it was back off to the races! More shopping!
Guys. It was THE. BEST. DAY. THE BEST DAY!!!! Watching everyone find things that made them sing out loud was so much fun! Picking trips are usually done solo, with limited food intake, for 12 hours, and they're work work work. FUN, but work. Yesterday, I was able to relax, hang out, sit down to eat, and laugh a lot... and we still made it to SEVEN shops and bought a TON! And we were home by 5:15.
We'll do it again... I'm thinking late September/early October? Who's in?!?
